Marine Route Setup & Optimization Service

We offer a technically driven Marine Route Setup and Optimization service designed for vessels operating in coastal, offshore, and restricted waters where precision, safety, and operational efficiency are critical.

Unlike standard route planning, our approach is based on engineering-level analysis and full system integration, ensuring that every route is not only theoretically correct, but also fully executable onboard in real-world conditions.

What makes this service different

Our routing is developed based on your specific vessel characteristics, including:

  • Hull form and draft
  • Propulsion configuration
  • Speed-performance profiles
  • Fuel consumption curves

Environmental factors are fully integrated:

  • Wind and wave conditions
  • Currents and seasonal variations
  • Local navigational constraints

This ensures that routes are realistic, safe, and operationally efficient, not just chart-based lines.

Scope of Service

Each project includes:

  • High-resolution route creation with defined waypoints, headings, and safety margins
  • ENC-based navigation planning with depth contour verification
  • Under keel clearance calculations and hazard avoidance
  • Integration-ready waypoint and route configuration for onboard MFD and autopilot systems
  • Full compatibility with navigation ecosystems including Raymarine and NMEA2000
  • Speed profile optimization based on vessel resistance and propulsion characteristics
  • Fuel consumption modeling per route segment with range and reserve validation
  • Time, distance, and ETA modeling under variable environmental conditions
  • Definition of restricted zones, traffic separation schemes, and no-go areas
  • Redundant routing scenarios including emergency diversion ports and safe anchorages

Advanced Integration (Optional)

For higher-level projects, we provide:

  • Alignment with onboard monitoring systems (e.g. performance tracking)
  • Route-based data logging and validation
  • Integration with vessel monitoring and voyage analysis platforms

This allows continuous improvement and validation between planned and actual vessel performance.

Deliverables

  • Routes delivered in industry-compatible formats ready for direct onboard use
  • Fully validated for execution on real navigation systems
  • Structured data for integration with onboard electronics and monitoring systems

Value to the Owner / Operator

  • Increased safety in complex or restricted waters
  • Optimized fuel consumption and operational costs
  • Reliable ETA planning under real conditions
  • Reduced navigational risk and human error
  • Seamless integration with onboard systems

Pricing

This is a premium engineering service, not a standard navigation task.

Typical project range:
5,000 - 12,000 EUR per vessel setup
(depending on vessel complexity and integration level)

Closing

We ensure that every route is not only designed, but engineered, validated, and ready for real-world execution onboard your vessel.
